SUPPORT THE PRESERVATION

The restoration and documentation of Chloe Cemetery depends on the support of individuals, families, and community partners who believe in preserving the history of Southwest Louisiana.

Historic African American cemeteries are often among the last remaining physical records of communities whose stories were rarely written down. Protecting this burial ground ensures that the lives of the families who lived, worked, and built community in Chloe are not forgotten.

Your support helps preserve a place where generations of history rest.

HOW CONTRIBUTIONS HELP
Donations support ongoing preservation efforts, including:

      • clearing and stabilizing the cemetery grounds
      • documenting burial locations and historical records
      • preserving and repairing existing grave markers
      • archaeological research to identify unmarked burials
      • historical documentation and genealogical research
      • educational materials that share the history of the

        Chloe community
       • future memorial markers for identified graves

Every contribution helps protect the cemetery and the history connected to it.
